Hi,

We offer end-to-end web mastering solutions: including project management, technology, content.

Most of our business has been offline and local so far and now we want to move to online in RAC.

We want to build a powerful profile on RAC and hence wanted to do a few projects at a throw away price. Hence, we are bidding low for your project. Please do not assume that the quality will be low as we are bidding low. It is just that we need some projects on our portfolio.

We provide very high quality hosting. We charge $15 per year for 100MB/2GB bandwidth hosting. We guarantee 99.95% up time. This is in addition to the $25.

1. What leadership position will each of the BIG3 have in the search industry?

I doubt that google will loose any of it lead, neither MSN or yahoo have made a big a impact as google.

2. Who has the potential in the future to challenge the market share of the BIG3?

No one around at the moment. It would have to be something completely new.

3. The BIG3 tend to focus on a more generic search. Is there a future for specialist search engines with more of an expert bias for more “intelligent” quality results?

Yes, they are already appearing for example igrep, and specisilist directories/search engines have been around for ages.

4. Search is one way of finding information. There are other methods, such as collaborative-filtering systems and virtual communities. With this in mind, does search, as a method of finding information, have a future?

Yes of course it does. This question is vague, search is a different beast to collaborative-filtering systems and virtual communities, it serve a different function, comparing them seems pointless.

5. Popular opinion within the industry predicts a dramatic shift of advertising revenue to online media. Do you agree with this assessment or is it wishful thinking?

It’s inebitiable, it’s already happening, it would be hard to disagree with it what with the massive increase in internet usage.

7. Is there a future in local search – both from the point of view of the search results and from the point of view of advertising?

Yes

8. Today it seems as if travel and finance are the largest spenders in online marketing. What are the next big spending industry sectors?
It will follow the markets, I perdict real estate.

This the work log so far for the Control panel

Project Spec:
Description:
I am looking to build a System that automatically perpares and send a monthly SEO Report for multiple website/owners.

I need in this project:

A userfriendly control panel (that I can add to in future)
A email report to clients (sometimes with invoice)
A simple accounting system.
A javascript (that send traffic info to my server)
A online bookmarking system
As system to store all client deatails.
The ability to look through websites traffic online.
A little bit of chat I would type in (general and specific)

The actuly email report
I would like the report to be fairly impressive and option to select text version or a html version.

These are things people would want to know, current total of inbound links (totalled from a few search engines), unique visitors, the search terms that return the most visitors, specific ranking on search terms. Also visibility percentage. (this would be worked out by looking at the search term that they are searching on and calulating a percentage depending on their position in the search engines.)

I don’t mind if this uses shareware or pervious built software, as I know their is a fair amount out their. However this need to communicate seemlessly with the control panel and the reporting system.

I am looking for somebody with a good rating and experience of similar projects. Please explain how you would do this project.

Thanks Ed

OPTIONAL

Their are three thing that I would like to be be displayed in graph format so they can see how they are improving.
1. unique monthly hits.
2. inbound links
3. Visibility percentage.

This could be done on a webpage that would be avalible through a link provided in the email, if that make this easier.
