When you type “horse insurance” into Google you get www.eandl.co.uk/horse-insurance.htm and www.eandl.co.uk. Number of filtered backlinks on Yahoo for these two links are not the same (98 in the first case and 40 in the second one without duplicates). Duplicated backlinks are removed for each link. Maybe you want me to group each link I get from Google by its domain name, so the above two links would be threated as www.eandl.co.uk (dropping the www.eandl.co.uk/horse-insurance.htm since it has the same domain name).
See the attached zip document.

I am familiar with the definition of the search term yet I want to know how to use it in Yahoo. What I understand is the following:
You would enter in the URL and a search term, then I would retrieve the backlinks from Yahoo but only those filtered by this search term, right? For example:
Normally, backlinks number for www.rentacoder.com is about 1,160,000 yet when I enter some search terms this number reduces.
Backlinks number for www.rentacoder.com with a search term “php” is about 1,100,000
Backlinks number for www.rentacoder.com with a search term “zoran” is about 41.
Are we on the same track?
Regards!

Of course… Even more if you are willing to wait for the results

Please if their are multiple ones under the same domain name, could you use just the first one that shows up.

yep I am a little confused here, I may have to go back and have a look at my orginal write up.
Okay got it.
What I want was a report telling me every backlink and what the anchor text is. Also when generating the report I wanted to have two boxes that need to be filled in
1. the URL of the site that I want to look at the backlinks from.
2. A search term.
Now what I would like is up in the top of the report that you shows the total amount of backlinks. Then below it the amount of the backlink that have the exact same anchor text as the search term I ahev entered. So say the website was ebay and the search term I had entered was ebay. Now if a text link anchor text was ‘ebay’ it woudl be added to the title. If the text links anchor text was ‘goto ebay’ then it would not be added. So for example it would be:
Website: www.ebay.com
search term: ebay
Total backlinks: 1034
Back links with exact text: 300
percentage of anchor text exact = 19 %
(just a idea)
Also I havce just through that their is agoing to be a very long list of links so it would be useful to me if the inbound link list was sorted in a useful manner. Is it possible you could sort all of the links by their page rank so it is highest first and could you put the pagerank in the results.
Also some tick boxes that allowed me to just return links with anchor text.
multiple links might come from the same site, is it possible we could just return the highest page rank page and then only display all of them if I tick a box that says show all backlinks.
I hope this helps.
Thanks Ed
